OUGD505: Genre's Characteristic To Focus On

The brief for this states that we should 'Design an object that celebrates or critiques an aspect of the genre's characteristics: political, aesthetic, production methods, audience demographic, key intentions or its connection to place.'

I have chosen to focus my design piece on the aesthetic of the music genre, I think because indie-folk is something quite different compared to either indie or folk. I have decided to create embroidery hoops therefore I think focusing on its aesthetics will work really well.
