These are going to be the first screens that appear when the app is opened. I think the first one should be the one with the various options to either cook/shop/meal plan, rather than going straight into the cooking side of the app as the user might not want to do this every time the app is opened.
These are the initial colours I have chosen to go with so far, however I am not convinced at all that these work. The contrast of the two clash and I personally think it looks quite harsh whereas I intend the app to very welcoming and student friendly. My next step is going to be creating a few colour swatches and seeing which work the best next to one another.
