I have chosen to go with Verdana as the font to use on my app because the sans serif letters make it incredibly legible for the user, this is important for an app because you are reading something from a phone- a lot smaller than from a computer or laptop screen. Within the image above, I have taken the font into InDesign to experiment with the kerning, something that may have to be explored when the app is being designed.
This is the chosen font applied to the 4 colours I am going to use throughout the app, I think these colours will work well together and the contrast of regular vs bold doesn't clash at all.
