OUGD603: Brief 3- Information to include on posters

This information was all sent over to me from Chris via email, it includes his manifesto, about me and other bits of information he wants to have on the posters.

'About me'

Who is Chris?
I’m a Level 6 Journalism Student and the Leeds Trinity Mens Football Chairman. You may also find me ballin’ for the 4th team, as the midfield maestro Vice Captain. These roles have helped me understand the importance of a student first approach, so let me get  your voices heard.

More about me...
My day to day life involves being a camera man for BT Sports, working behind the scenes at FC Halifax Town in the  Media Team and Working as a Manager in McDonalds. I'm that cheeky Scouser who sadly supports Tranmere and loves Music.

Manifesto sent over by Chris...

Sports & Societies:
Engagement & representation of societies: Raise engagement of societies helping them reach their full potential, creating more events and social opportunities. Representing them not only on campus but off it too with local and chained business’. Help develop Sports Team with facilities and maximising engagement through no lectures on Wednesdays. Being the voice of every student, I want every voice to be heard, every opinion to be valued and given the answers too, I want everyone to know you’re more than just a number. To create International links/ which could lead to an International Varsity with a foreign University. To Continue inclusive Sports campaigns like: Disability-in-sports-week, LGBT, Racism, Faith and other inclusive events. Student Welfare: Services to be more accessible and better. For students to understand it’s okay not to be okay and support is here. Work with volunteers to make sure National Campaigns happen here at Trinity. Mental health training is available to everyone who wishes to receive it free of charge helping create a bigger and better understand of mental-health on/off campus. Overall I want to create a better student atmosphere on/off campus by creating a more social hub at the Students Bar and Union which will be the heart of the University, creating a thriving day/night life. Student wellbeing and safety is most important to me. (I’ve been in your shoes) I want to support every student through their university experience to make it as easy as possible, this isn’t a 9-5 job to me.
